Math. Teacher  Semra ŞENTÜRK (Mentor Teacher) + CV

I was born on 19.03.1984 in the city of Isperih, Razgrad in Bulgaria. We emigrated to Turkey with his family in 1989. I completed my primary, secondary and high school education in Tekirdağ. I took the university entrance exam in 2002 and settled in the Department of Secondary Mathematics Teaching at Boğaziçi University. During my university education, I participated in various projects. For the students who need special education, I worked as a practitioner and then as an assistant in the project coordinated by Nalan Babür in order to follow the student development in the project. In addition to this, I worked with TEGV as a volunteer with private students. After a traffic accident in 2006, I had to get away from school for a while. By solving health problems, I was able to go back to my education and complete my shortcomings. During my university years, I aimed to develop myself both academically and socially. I started my professional career before graduation. During this period, I started to work full time as an assistant mathematics teacher at Sarıyer Açı Schools. I worked with students from various levels in the 9-13 ages and did one-to-one or group work. The biggest contribution of this school to me is to improve my professional aspect in preparing activities and asking effective questions in order to process my lesson more efficiently. After graduation, I worked as a mathematics teacher at Ispartakule Işık Schools and Bahçeşehir Vizyon College. With Vizyon College, I adapted technology into education and tried to bring a different perspective to my courses. As I observed the changing society, I wanted to develop myself in different fields. Therefore, in 2016, I enrolled in the Department of Sociology, Istanbul University Distance Education Faculty. I'm a senior now. I think that sociology will positively affect both my personal perspective and my teaching skills as it will improve my ability to analyze. Finally, I want to talk about my working principle. I am a harmonious, collaborative, respectful and sharing environment, creative and open to development. I try to create warm and effective communication with my students, thus creating a fun environment in their classes. In addition to this, my personal goal is to develop Internet programs and games that can be used by students and teachers at all levels to support individual development.
